Why does my DHL tracking say “The shipment has been electronically announced” and not move?Updated 5 days ago
If your DHL tracking shows “The shipment has been electronically announced” and there is no movement for more than 5 business days, this usually indicates one of the following:
1. The parcel has been registered but not yet handed over to DHL.
In some cases, one item in your order may be awaiting restock or arriving from a supplier. In these situations, the shipping label is created in advance, but the parcel can only be handed over once all items are ready.
2. The parcel has been handed over, but DHL has not scanned it yet.
With high daily shipping volumes, it can occasionally happen that a package is transferred to DHL without an initial scan. In these cases, the parcel is already in DHL’s network but will only appear in the tracking system once it reaches a sorting center and receives its first scan.
In both scenarios, your order is on its way – tracking will typically update automatically once DHL completes the next processing step.
If the status hasn’t changed after 5 more business days, feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to check on it for you.
